About Us

Enigmatec is the leader in Policy-Driven Automation solutions for both physical and virtual resource management. Our award-winning solutions are applicable to any Global 1000 organization wanting to automate its mission critical production deployments, deploy rapid disaster recovery solutions, or manage multiple virtual development environments. Founded in London in April 2002, Enigmatec exploded from a stealth start-up to a leader in its field in 2005 with the release and uptake of its flagship Execution Management System (EMS), the most powerful, flexible solution to the increased demands on today's complex data center.

Leveraging the advanced distributed-systems research from both Cambridge and Edinburgh Universities, EMS is the first to combine policy design with policy execution to automate the management and control of complex business applications in real time and with little or no manual intervention. EMS unleashes the power of leading virtualization and provisioning solutions, optimizing utilization by dynamically reallocating computing resources to the applications that need them, dramatically reducing the operational costs required to operate them.

Large-scale production deployments, industry and analyst accolades and dramatic customer testimonials have proven that Enigmatec can fulfill the dream of a "virtual infrastructure," one in which technology resources are allocated in real-time to the business applications that require them today.

As a point of interest, Enigmatec's name and inspiration comes from Alan Turing: philosopher, mathematician, computer scientist and original thinker. His research in the 1930s laid the foundations for modern computer science. In a real sense he invented the digital computer when he proposed a Universal Turing Machine. He also explored the limits of computing with his Turing Test. Our company name acknowledges both Turing's code breaking work on the Enigma machine during the Second World War and his own unique enigmatic character.

Enigmatec is a privately held software company with offices in London and New York. Investors include Amadeus Capital Partners, Intel Capital, and PenTech Ventures.
