As a point of interest, Enigmatec's name and inspiration comes from Alan Turing: philosopher, mathematician, computer scientist and original thinker. His research in the 1930s laid the foundations for modern computer science. In a real sense he invented the digital computer when he proposed a Universal Turing Machine. He also explored the limits of computing with his Turing Test. Our company name acknowledges both Turing's code breaking work on the Enigma machine during the Second World War and his own unique enigmatic character.
