How Does EVO Work?
EVO combines a web-based portal with an IT workflow orchestration engine and adapters to leading virtualization platforms.
- The Portal provides end-users with self-service virtual server provisioning based on virtual machine blueprints, and provides administrators with pre-built authorization workflows and policies for virtual machine requests, provisioning, change management, leasing, expiration, and usage. The EVO Portal is shipped as a set of portlets that easily integrate into existing customer IT portals.
- Pre-built authorization schemes, service levels, and audit can be easily customized and extended by the customer, including integration with existing corporate governance tools such as change management and cost control/chargeback system.
- Multiple virtual server platforms can be managed simultaneously by EVO, reducing the number of different management interfaces required in heterogeneous environments.
